Kratom plants, also called Mitragyna Speciosa, is actually a tree. Kratom trees can grow very tall, some as high as 100 feet. The kratom plant is native to eastern tropical environments and commonly grows in Southeast Asia. Kratom plants naturally grow in tropical environments. The kratom plant can naturally grow very tall in its original environment. GROWING KRATOM
Growing kratom plants are not easy. They’re difficult to propagate. They can be started as seeds and cuttings, but success rates are quite low. To combat this, many kratom seeds are used at once to increase the opportunity for growth.
Cuttings are difficult too, many won’t even grow roots. A lot of people will start cuttings in the dark, not introducing light to the kratom sprout until later on.
Kratom trees are heavy feeders, they need rich soil for the best results. They’re use to drought prone areas, surviving and thriving on little water, so don’t over do it.
USING THE KRATOM PLANT
There’s a number of different ways you may think of using the kratom plant. It’s the kratom leaves that have power, it’s what makes up your kratom powder. Kratom leaves may be smoked, made as kratom tea or as a kratom capsule.
A kratom dose varies. In powder form, 1-3 grams is considered to be a small dose, 3-5 a medium dose and over 5 grams a high dose. This all depends on your kratom tolerance levels. Everyone is different and reacts to kratom in different ways.
Since the kratom leaf is what holds psychoactive properties, it’s the part of the kratom tree that is highly sought after the most.
