There’s a lot of misconceptions out there as it pertains to how many types of kratom are out there. If you’re just now learning about kratom or experimenting with it for the first time, it may feel that there’s all kinds of different kratom types on the market. While that’s true to an extent, you may be surprised to know that there’s only 3 types of kratom strains: red vein kratom, white vein kratom, and green vein kratom.

Now, these kratom strains are used to create a wide variety of different kratom powders that we all enjoy. Red vein, white vein and green vein are used to create popular kratom powders like red Bali kratom, green Malay kratom and white Maeng Da.

For those of you that taking kratom for the first time, take the time to learn about these kratom strains so you can use your best judgement buying kratom. Each kratom strain produces specific effects versus its counterparts.

Red Vein Kratom – Red kratom is often referred to as the strongest kratom strain. We know that red vein kratom has high alkaloid counts. Due to this, kratom users might consider it using for pain relief.

White Vein Kratom – White kratom is well known for its energy effects. It’s becoming more popular among students and entrepreneurs. Some of the effects users have referred to is that it may help with focus, concentration and alertness.

Now, I know what you’re thinking, “I thought you said there’s only 3 kratom strains.” That’s still true, so where does yellow strain kratom fit in?

There’s a few different things that can give kratom a yellow hue. Some people say yellow kratom is created by picking kratom leaves later in the growing process. Some people claim yellow kratom is created by mixing all kratom strains. Most likely, yellow vein is created from the drying process. Either way, it’s one of the rarest kratom types you can get.

WHAT TYPE OF KRATOM IS RIGHT FOR ME?

Finding the right type of kratom can be a challenge. First, you’re doing the right thing, you’re taking the time to do your research so you can make a sound decision. Good for you! However, you’ll never know what kratom does for you until you try it for yourself.

Now that you have an idea of which kratom strains produce the effects you want, you can begin narrowing down which kratom powders to buy.

TRYING KRATOM FOR THE FIRST TIME

For those of you that are experiencing kratom for the first time, it’s important to know how to take your kratom.

I always recommend starting out slow, no matter what kratom powder you’re taking. If you’ve never took kratom before, be mindful, be safe as possible. While most kratom users would agree kratom is safe, you may be the one of the minority that experiences side effects from kratom. I want you to be safe too. Take your kratom alone, I would recommend taking kratom with alcohol. Definitely don’t take kratom with other drugs, that’s very dangerous.

When you take your first kratom dose, easy does it. Start out with 1-2 grams and give it 30-45 minutes to kick in. If you haven’t felt any effects within the hour, try taking 1-2 more grams. Wait another 30-45 minutes, you should start feeling effects by this time.

IN CLOSING

Many new kratom users feel overwhelmed by the amount of kratom powders out there on the market. No wonder they don’t know which kratom powder to buy. Just remember, everyone of the powders that exist come from the 3 main kratom strains. Get to know them, continue to do your research, and educate yourself about them. Ultimately, find the strain that has the benefits you’re looking for and begin trying kratom powders in that particular strain.
