Making Kratom Tea - Kratom Exchange

The most common way kratom (Mitragyna Speciosa)  is consumed is by using it as a tea. This is a tradition that has been passed down over the centuries. While many kratom users dose their kratom in different ways, it’s kratom tea that is the most common method of consumption.

You may be wondering, “why?” The reason kratom tea is so popular is because it’s one of the easiest ways to get your kratom dose. On top of that, many kratom users feel tea is a great way to mix into a kratom drink. Others believe you may get more benefits from the kratom this way, although that’s not proven.

There’s actually a lot of different ways to make kratom tea.

PREPARING YOUR KRATOM

The first step to making kratom tea is preparing your kratom.

When you think of tea, you’re likely picturing a hot tea pot on the stove whistling, would that be accurate? Anyways, there’s nothing wrong with that. However, kratom tea is versatile to say the least. The type of kratom tea you want to prepare is going to be completely up to you and it’s a personal preference.

I’m always looking for new creative ways to take my kratom powder. I do it to help all of you out but I also enjoy it.

It’s no secret, kratom doesn’t taste great. No since hiding the fact, that’s why a lot of kratom tea drinkers will do what they have to for masking the kratom taste itself. Honestly, it’s the reason they prefer tea over other ways to take kratom powder.

So, what do they use?

First, kratom tea is often made with green or black tea. Again, this helps with the taste. It’s not uncommon for kratom users to use honey, white sugar or brown sugar. As long as you have a teapot, you can learn to make kratom tea.

There’s also a number of benefits for using kratom tea.

RULES OF KRATOM TEA

Now, let’s get to what you can do and can’t as it pertains to tea.

When you’re boiling your kratom, be mindful of how long your kratom boils. The last thing you want to do is kill the alkaloids in your kratom. If you do, it may kill your kratom experience. A lot of kratom tea drinkers won’t boil their kratom at all. Rather, they let it “simmer.” That’s not to say you can’t boil it, you can. You just want to be mindful of how long it boils. Plus, I’m sure you want to make sure you get the full benefits of your kratom.

If you have a teapot, you can boil your water, place your kratom in a cup and wait for the whistle to blow. Add your ingredients and you may have kratom tea. The heat from the water will activate the alkaloids and you may have a good dose of kratom awaiting.

Some of you may be wondering if you can do this with your coffee pot, the answer is “absolutely.” Instead of placing coffee in the filter, you’ll place your kratom powder there. You can run it once, twice or three times to make sure you get it all in and then some.
