The island of Sumatra is the 2nd largest island in Indonesia. It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. It’s a quiet life here, one that has been in practice for centuries. As a kratom advocate, I always enjoy my time here and reflect on the rich Indonesian culture. This location is where we find Sumatra kratom.

While Sumatra is well known for having red, green, and white powders, there’s also a rare yellow kratom strain, this is known by as yellow Sumatra kratom. While yellow strains are not as well known as your typical kratom types, yellow kratom is gaining popularity. In fact, they’ve gained popularity so much, yellow kratom is beginning to be as common as red, green, and white in the kratom community. We’re not there just yet, but the time is coming.

WHAT’S YELLOW SUMATRA KRATOM?

Yellow Sumatra kratom originates from the beautiful island of Sumatra. Yellow Sumatra starts out as a green strain but due to a unique drying process, farmers are able to create yellow Sumatra kratom.

Since the drying process can change the alkaloid content of the kratom strain, it does create a new kratom strain.

For those that love yellow Sumatra, there’s a long list of reported benefits one may enjoy.

Many kratom users love the “slow” effects of yellow Sumatra kratom. It may have  tranquil effects, starting out slow and then gradually getting stronger and stronger. A few users were kind enough to share their experiences and many were similar. One of the most wanted effects they might had were feeling worry free. If you’re the type that has a “racing” mind, always worrying about different things, you may want to give this kratom powder a try.

For those of you that take larger kratom doses, many users may experience “total comfort” from a large yellow Sumatra dose. They explained that it’s total relaxation, closing their eyes and being at peace with everything. These are some of the reasons it’s recommended at may help with tension and unease.

Most people refer to yellow Sumatra as a slow strain, a mellow experience. For most of you that use it, the experience might be similar. However, as I always say, you may react to this kratom differently from the majority.

DOSING YELLOW SUMATRA

You may be wondering, how much kratom should I be taking? The amount of kratom you take depends on you, no one else can figure that out for you. The reason: we’re all different, what works for you won’t work for the next person. Just want to make sure you’re aware of that before I offer my advice.

If you’ve never taken kratom before and this will be your first time, I always recommend starting slow. No more than 1-2 grams and waiting 30-45 minutes for the effects to kick in. A small dose of yellow Sumatra would be 1-4 grams. A medium dose of Sumatra would be 5-7 grams and anything over 7 grams would be considered large.

The only way to know for sure is by trying it. We can give you all the advice in the world and you can do all the research you want, which is a great thing. However, until you try it yourself, you’re never going to know for sure.

For mellow kratom strains, this may be a good strain to go with.

I’ve tried it a few times and I enjoyed the experience. If I wasn’t in love with white Maeng Da and Red Bali, I’d certainly add it to my lineup.
